The Executive:

CEO, male self-referred. After 2 by 2-hour Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) assessment sessions, treatment focused on extreme anxiety leading to panic attacks. Situations included public speaking, chairing senior management meetings, social gatherings. 

Good outcome to Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, which comprised of 8 by 2-hour sessions. At no time was the CEO away from work and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBP) resulted in much improved work & family life, more relaxed and balanced lifestyle. No further treatment required.

 The Manager:
Operations Manager for manufacturing company. Male referred by OH/ HR Departments. Presented with depression and some anxiety. Background ex military, rigid work ethic resulting in attempted perfectionism in all areas or work & home life. Continuous late working and working weekends to achieve perfect performance. Eventually became worn out, over tired, anxious and depressed. Absent from work for 12 weeks before commencement of treatment.

Excellent outcome following CBP. After second session programmed graded return to work agreed with HR /OH department.  By conclusion of treatment full return to normal working achieved and need for perfection brought under control. After 18 months no relapse.

 The employee:
Administrative assistant, service sector, female; referred by HR department. Presenting with multiple anxiety disorder (anxiety, panic and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Contra physiological condition exacerbated situation.

 Good outcome to treatment. 9 x 2 hour sessions. Graded return to work; employee now able to lead near normal life, enjoying work and home life. Panic controlled, anxiety reduced dramatically and OCD managed effectively.
