A growing
number of
organisations now
recognise the advantages of accessing Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy
to provide evidenced based psychotherapeutic solutions for staff
presenting with a range of mild to moderate mental health issues.
Our challenge has been to rethink and adapt how,
when, and where CBT treatment is provided; to optimise
accessibility for referred staff, at the same time, maximising the most
efficient use of CBPsychotherapists time.
In addition to providing CBTherapy in the
traditional way, Occupational Mental Health’s (OMH)
new
solution is to
provide clients with
on-site CBT Clinics either as
required or on a regular monthly or bi-monthly basis. Our clients now have
the option of moving
into a proactive mode referring staff showing early signs of stress,
anxiety or other mental health conditions for CBT assessment and treatment,
on site, in suitable consulting rooms offering confidentiality.
OMH provide on site CBT services to a
growing number of cients.
There are many advantages; as well as offering
early intervention before absence occurs, CBT may also be provided for
those staff who are returning to work following a period of absence due to
a mental health condition, providing valuable on site rehabilitation
support, usually in conjunction with OH staff...
Referred staff have a choice of one , two or even four hour sessions,
which ever best suits their need. We also
provide Cognitive Behavioural Coaching (CBC) during clinics for management
and staff whose needs are motivational and goal oriented rather than
mental health related.
CBT clinics are currently available in a limited
number of locations in the Midlands and the South East of England. The
limiting factor being the experience, availability, and stamina of
CBPsychotherapists and access to on site OH staff.
